About Plumptre Carpentry

I’m Paul Plumptre, a dedicated carpenter with over thirty years time-served experience in all aspects of interior and exterior woodwork. From full home refurbishments to bespoke built-ins and garden structures, I’ve built a reputation for quality workmanship, attention to detail, and a reliable, down-to-earth approach.

I take pride in every job I do – whether it’s a simple repair or a complex custom project – and I’m always happy to offer advice, ideas and honest feedback along the way.

I’m now based in Treharris, near Nelson, South Wales. Originally from Southampton. My wife Emma and I made the move to the Valleys of South Wales and haven’t looked back. It’s a beautiful part of the world, and I’ve been made to feel incredibly welcome since relocating. Diolch! And, yes, I am trying to learn Welsh.

I’ve already completed work for clients across the region – including Cardiff, Caerphilly, The Vale of Glamorgan, Monmouthshire and throughout the South Wales Valleys. I’m grateful for the kind feedback I’ve received from local homeowners and businesses. You can read some testimonials here.
